I want to go to Zacatecas city Mexico , what is it like there?

Actually I am planning to go to Ojo Caliente too what is that like ?

Are there scorpions there?

The city of Zacatecas is beautiful. Unesco named it "World Heritage Centre". The buildings have elegant facades made with lime stone. There are so many things to see for such a small city. You could visit the Pedro Coronel Museum, Rafael Coronel Museum, Francisco Goitia Museum, Manuel Felguerez Gallery and Museo Zacatecano, to name the most important museums...There麓s a hotel built over a bull fighting ring, it is called Quinta Real. There麓s a telpheric that goes over the whole city and ends on a mountain, el Cerro de la Bufa, where there is a mine that has a very nice guided tour. There are also turibuses that offer information about historical sites. Acr贸polis, La Quija and Gorditas (some are too hot) de Do帽a Julia are good place to eat. La Quemada is an archeological site some 60 km South from the city. There are good and cheap hotels like La Finca del Minero and Casa Santa Luc铆a. If you interested on buying art from artists from Zacatecas, there is an art gallery very close to the Quinta Real. Catedral and F谩tima are very impressive churches, there麓s much more.....I have not been to Ojo Caliente, yet.

i am from Zacatecas and there is a lot of stuff to do there for example there is a gold mine and it is beautiful

WOW... Its the first person that has EVEr said that they want to go there, Zacatecas citi is not so much of a turistic place, BUT I trully recomend it, well Zacatecas city is really metropolitan, still maintaining MANY of their OLD building made out of limestone, the building over there are probably arrownd 100 years old, there is the Mine, also the Serro de la Buffa, well there are a Lot of museus over there and many of the times there are many expos, I am from Jerez, Zacatecas. (state) and Zacatecas city is Beautifull. I To recomend Acropolis and Gorditas de Dona Julia, for a restaurant, you should look for the ..... Shoot I forgott the name, but It an Argentinian Restaurant with really good food, It's located in a really quiet place of the center of the city, you should try Mexican food though ;P. there is a lot of shopping places and I recomend the hoter, Meson de Hobitos. as far as Ojo caliente, I've never been there. another thing about the scorpions, I've lived in Mexico for about 13 years and In my life I've never ran into a scorpio. so I dont think you have to worry about them, unless you go in the summer and only in REALLhy remote places. but nah, dont worry about scorpios

I'm from Zacatecas actually, and i've been to Zacatecas city a couple times. it is really beautiful. I recomend you to go to La Bufa it is really nice. there's lots of parks and stores, the restaurants are very good. check out some of the churches, even if you're not religious they are still amazing.

Zacatecas sits at about 8000 feet above sea level, so bring along a coat, even in summer months.

It's a lovely old colonial city, the capital of the state by the same name. I visit there often.

The museums are very good, and the food is as well.
