Campbell River, BC or Winnipeg, MB? |
I'm debating between moving to BC or MB. People are telling me that houses in Winnipeg is cheaper and more affordable to live. But I really like the nice weather in BC but I'm afraid that it'll be hard to find a job there. Any suggestions/ideas/comments about these two places? Thanks. Campbell River is a beautiful town. Unless you are skilled you might find it hard to find work here. If you are looking for entry level tourism or retail jobs at minimum wage then you won't have a problem finding work. Housing prices here have skyrocketed and they say it won't stop any time soon. You could look at the Realtors online to find housing prices. Most prices are now out of touch to the average single or family. Yes, the weather is a lot warmer than other parts of the country but some find that they can't handle the cool, damp, near constant rain from about October to March. Our snow is a definite challenge even for those seasoned drivers; it's not like prairie snow. It's heavy, slushy snow that turns to ice and makes the road treacherous to drive or walk on. WTFOMFGZ Campbell River Is a lot smaller but a nice town. The olympics are comming to BC jobs in Vancouver all over See hellobc tourismvancouver Winnipeg is like, really windy, and quite cold in winter. I lived in Toronto until I was 29 but have been living in Winnipeg for the past 5 years. I love Winnipeg and wouldn't go back to Toronto. I wouldn't live in Campbell River, BC because it is too small and remote. Try to move to Winnipeg the food is the best there!! |
