Good hotels in Winnipeg by the bar scene? |
I'm going to Winnipeg in May with some friends and I was wondering what hotels are close to the bar scene? I'm thinking about the Carlton Inn (because it's cheap). Any suggestion will be helpful! Holiday Inn, it has lots of things in and closeby. Pick a CanadInn. Most of them have bars in them so you don't have to worry about drinking and driving or cabs. CanadInn Polo Park has the best bar in it, Tijuana Club and then also has a pool in it. It is also near the shopping centre, the football stadium etc. CanadInn Fort Gary doesn't have the bar in it (just a British pub) but literally across a side street is CanadInn Fort Gary Express which DOES have the bar in it; The OC. The hotel rooms there are nice too...and a bit cheaper. It has a Garbonzos Pizza in it. CanadInn Windsor Park is on the edge of Winnipeg...good for if you are staying put. They change the names of the bars so often... its hard to keep up. I'll second staying at the CanadInn by Polopark. You are within walking distance of alot of stuff. |
