Where are the best places to live in Wellington, New Zealand for a young family ?

Ngaio I was born there . And feel so privileged to have been growing up there. Only a 10 minute train ride to wellington. I recently went back for a holiday and visited 2 schools one was the Ngaio school and I couldn't believe what a healthy happy bunch of children I observed. The other school about 6 or 10 kilometres away the children where different sloppy with hunched shoulders. but at that school I didn;t see many children maybe 12 to 20 but the Ngaio children I saw several class rooms a lovely headmistress. and it was such a delight

One bit of information I can pass on is that you need to be able to support yourselves for a year at least.

A friend and his girlfriend emigrated to New Zealand a few years ago, and before the New Zealand Government would even consider letting them in, is that they needed to have written proof that they had savings of at least 拢80,000 EACH.

Upper Hutt. Friends of mine have been there for years. It is a very happy community.

Being a parent in a young family myself, and having had lived in many different suburbs in wellington, I would reccomend checking out Johnsonville, Karori and Miramar in that order.
As they would be the ones I personally would be looking at if I moved back home.
