Blaa, blaa, blaa? |
Can anyone tell me the origin of the Waterford blaa? The 'Blaa' (a popular and traditional breakfast-time bread found only in Waterford) is said to owe its origins to the 17th century immigrants who introduced this type of bread into the city. The French called it pain blanc which was corrupted by the locals into 'Blaa'. You are welcome, and I like Oif's story too, but it's what we would call a 'bit Irish'! Report It Thanks! Don't forget Wexfords Rissoles!!! The "blaa" is a type of traditional bread that can be purchased only in Waterford. It is very popular there! 鈾櫔 Its a bread roll like a bap. Well.
