Great Food Entertainment District in DC touris area does this exist?

I'm looking for an area of restaurants and entertainment in DC area, any suggestiuons on where this could be, more family oriented not bar scene, just a nice time oout for shopping food entertainemnt thanks alot.

I'd suggest going to the mall at Pentagon City, which is just across the river in Arlington, with a Metro station right underneath. The official name is "Fashion Centre" at Pentagon City.

In the evenings, it is a favorite of DC tourists, many of whom arrive by tour bus. There's a very large food court, many sit-down restaurants, all of the usual department stores including Macy's, plus stores that specialize in DC-area merchandise. There's also a multiplex movie theatre. Right across the street is another, smaller shopping center with a Border's Books, California Pizza restaurant, a Best Buy, plus many other stores and restaurants.

Both malls have ample parking, although you'll have to pay a fee on weekdays. You'll also see Washington area residents shopping and eating there.

If you want to get completely away from other tourists, try Pentagon Row, which is somewhat hidden away behind the main Fashion Centre shopping center, with its own entrance and parking garage. It's where young Arlingtonians come to eat and shop. It's outdoors, unlike the nearby malls. There are several excellent restaurants, such as Lebanese Taverna, Champs Sports Bar and Restaurant, a noddles place, an intimate French crepe restaurant, and an ice cream shop, amongst many others. In the center courtyard is a seasonal ice skating rink (they rent skates too!). The stores range from a Harris-Teeter supermarket to Hudson Trail Outfitters. Just keep Pentagon Row (www.pentagonrow.com) a secret amongst the frequenters of Ask Yahoo!
