Can I go to D.C in March?

I will be in Virginia this first week in March and would like to go to D.C to visit some Musuems and maybe the national zoo. My question is do you all think it will be to cold in D.C during these times to really enjoy myself?
Thanks

No, it definitely will not. You can definitely enjoy yourself. Sometimes there are cold days, but remember that the Cherry Blossoms bloom in March - so it is getting warm.

If you get a cold day or two - well just go to the museums those days. We do get snow sometimes in early March, but it's not bad. Report It

It might be a little chilly, but I think the worst of the frost will be over by then.

Enjoy!

In this part of the country March can be a crapshoot. It's likely to be anywhere from 40's to 60's. I'd plan for 40's ish.

You're right that it could be cold, but a warm jacket can take care of that. Museums are indoors, so that shouldn't be a problem. And if you are worried about not enjoying yourself due to the cold weather, then skip the zoo, unless it turns out to be a nice day.

im afraid it might be a little chilly then. you should come in april if you can b/c the cherry blossom festival is then. but you can def enjoy yourself in march also.

It's anybody's guess, the weather is up and down from now til late April or May.
