Can anybody tell me some places that young teens would enjoy in Washington D.C.?

They love history and are interested in meusuems.

Other then muesuems though, is there anything else (restaurants, sights, activities etc.)?

Well, i'm a young teen so I should know this. I really enjoyed the Pentagon City Mall. It is on a train stop. If you ride the blue line metro train, you will come across Pentagon City. Get Off ther and shop till you drop!

If your kids are history lover like me, they would love visiting the Smithsonian Museums. At the natural history museum you can hold a 3 in. long cochroach at the bug corner. There are all sorts of museums, pick one that best fits there age group.

Walk around the mall. Have a picnic. D.C. is nicely set up and perfect for families. A must see is the Lincoln Memorial. If you want to go up in the Washington Monument you must go ther at 7:45am to get in line for tickets! (we waited an hour to get tickets)

You may walk by the white house on E Street or Pennsylvania Ave. but can't go in unless you booked a special tour. (3-6 months in advance) I did that. It was fun!

For lunch just go get a couple hot dogs from a street vendor. I don't reccomend the white house visitor center. It is quite boring. Oh, and go see the Archives. FUN FUN!

Well, that's my DC tips!

GOOD LUCK!
HAVE A SAFE TRIP!

GOD BLESS YOU!

I think you need to be more specific. Nothing was more appealing to me in DC as a teen than the Museum of Natural History.

White house go meet president Bush

If you like history, don't miss the Georgetown area of Washington, with Georgetown University, and homes dating back to the 1800's.

There are lots of shops and places to eat--also, everything is located at Wisconson and M streets--you can get there from the Mall/Smithsonian areas by taxi or Metro easily.

Plan to spend a day--you'll love walking the cobblestone streets, mixing with GU students, politicos and celebs.
