Has anyone been to the Washington, DC Verizon Center? If so, do you have any parking tips for a Friday night?

Okay, thanks, that's what I'll do then.

Your best bet is to use Metro. There's a station for Gallery Place / Chinatown (Red/Green/Yellow lines) right under the Verizon Center, or a short walk from Metro Center (Red/Blue/Orange lines).

Yup, riding the Metro to Chinatown/Gallery Place (Red Line) is the best option. It's right under the Verizon Center. It will be cheaper and alot more convenient.

Metro, Metro, Metro!

Yes, I've been to Verizon Center and the surrounding area. Don't even THINK of parking there. Traffic is a nightmare, and it's especially bad on event nights. As everyone has said, ride Metro. Gallery Place, on the Red, Yellow, and Green lines is right there, and Metro Center on the Red, Blue, and Orange lines is about four blocks away.

And when you buy your farecard at the station, make sure you get enough for your return trip. Because it will be after peak hours, it will be a bit less than your trip there.
