Fun in Washington DC for teens?

I am going to DC in march and I want my two teen girls to have fun. What should we do and what are some unique must sees?

In reason, but it does not need to be free, 30 bucks per person if it is really cool.

For something really cool and exciting, your teens will probably enjoy the Spy Museum!

It's interactive and often has actors playing spies and other such fun stuff. There is an admission fee, which I believe is $18 - but it's completely worth it!

That's the website - if you want to find out more about it. They have some special events as well.

it depends. on how much money you want to spend. ya know?

Go see the white house, and George town. Those are both great places, and cost NOTHING, to walk on the street with the white house in the background. And George town there are some great shops, and fun places to eat.

Also there is a tour of the white house at night, it's really pretty. You might look into that? If you want to rent a car for the day and sight see, that might be a great idea? Or a taxi ride. Like a day tour? There is a ton to see.

Even just walking around, you'll spend hours looking at all kind of great things.

The must sees are not all that unique.

If your teen is artistically minded, then check out the FDR memorial, just around the tidal basin (clockwise) from the Jefferson Memorial. Take them to the Holocaust memorial, not for fun, but because it's important.

If they get tired of the memorials, the government buildings, the Smithsonian, get off the mall and go to the Spy Museum. It's great. It cost about $18 per person, and more if you let them do the interactive experience.

Take them to Chinatown or Adams Morgan for dinner in a neighborhood. Or U-Street/Shaw to eat at Ben's Chili Bowl.

Go to the Black Fashion Museum.

Visit Hillwood Garden, at the Van Ness UDC metro stop. it's a great home, great gardens, incredible collection of Russian things. What would you build if you had this kind of money?

Take a boat down the Potomac to Mt. Vernon. You can learn about George Washington and have a great time.

The National Air and Space Museum.

white house, spy museum is awesome, air and space museum have stuff in the back like abe lincoln's hat and original lightbulb and artificial heart
