What's a great DRIVE (SPECIFIC streets & routes) during the NIGHT in D.C.--showing the Capitol, Wash Monu, etc |
I like seeing the Capitol, Washington Monument, etc. lit up at night as I'm driving past. I want to behold the beauty of them in their brilliance with their sides all lit up at night. What's a good, EASY route? That's pretty easy: start near the Potomac and go down Constitution Avenue until you are past the Capitol, and then swing around behind the Capitol turning right onto 1st Street. That will take you past the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress. Turn right at Independence. Go down Independence Avenue back towards the Potomac. At some point, wherever you can find a parking spot, park your car and look a little more closely. dont even drive get on a tour bus one that has the washington by moonlight tours so you can take it all in if you have to drive your attention will be on the road , alternatively you go to each site and walk them Especially the Jefferson and the WW2 they must be walked at night. Take the tour that goes around as the monuments are lit- the Korean war memorial and the Wall are powerful at night. It's worth the money do just sit back and relax and let someone else do the driving. |
