What to take on a 4-day trip to washington,d.c with 8th grade class? |
(the fireld trip willl be in late april,i dont know what to pack) The weather in late April is usually quite pleasant--amongst the best time of the year around here. During the day you'll probably be able to walk around either in shirt sleeves or with a light jacket. Evenings may be cooler. Figure daytime temperatures in the 60s or 70s, and evening temperatures in the 50s. It's well past the point where snow will fall and stick. Rain is quite possible, though, so pack a rain slicker. The 8th graders will probably end up wearing shorts during the day, changing into long pants in the evening. A lot of aspirin, and a good deal of patience. Expect all kinds of weather and pack some short sleeves and some long sleeves so you have something to wear for different weather.. It's probably going to be cold so I would pack a jacket! electronics, music, maps, tylenol and other medicines, poncho or raincoat/ umbrella etc. for weather, books, try to sit with a good friend, teddy bear or stuffed animal/ something soft, laptop if you have one, candy/ gum in particular or what do you normally take on road trips? Here's a map for you, it will give you a weeks weather at a time. Pretty great. April might not be very hot but most likely will be humid and rainy. I would suggest a good light raincoat and then you could use under that a pullover, sweatshirt or a cotton sweater. When not raining you should be fine with the sweater on in the evening and maybe only a t shirt or polo shirt during the day. |
