Anyone ever stay at Extended Stay America?

We are going to DC in June and looking for a place to stay where I can cook dinner instead of us eating out every night. The Extended Stay's seem to have reasonable rates...just wondering if they are a decent establishment.

I have stayed in them also, and they are fine. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable, and as you said including kitchens.

There are none actually in DC, and the suburban ones are not near metro - indeed you will need to have a car to use them, to drive to metro and then park there to go into the city on the metro.

But that said, extended stay hotels in downtown DC can cost 3 times as much, and that pays for a lot of car rental (or parking if you bring your own car. )

I have stayed at Extended Stay motels in Several states and have always found them to be clean comfortable and in decent neighborhoods. I would have no hesitation in stating there again.

I've stayed in one of these places once. I was supposed to stay 3 days and left after one night. The walls were thin, staff wasn't friendly, and it was in the middle of nowhere.

Of course maybe it was this particular hotel only. Your best bet is to check tripadvisor.com

Stayed in FL and loved it. I'm picky with hotels.
