Do you need a passport to travel to puerto rico or the virgin islands?

Look up the websites for each country, it tells you the requirements.

Since they're both US territories, I am 99% sure that you don't need one. But don't take our word for it, look it up and make sure.

From the USVI Tourism site:

"Passports for U.S. Citizens are not required for the U.S. Virgin Islands, but you must be prepared to show evidence of citizenship upon leaving (such as a birth certificate and photo ID). Citizens of countries other than the U.S. should follow U.S. travel regulations. Travel outside the U.S. Virgin Islands requires a birth certificate or valid passport. Health certificates are not required if you're entering from the U.S. or Puerto Rico; citizens entering from other countries should follow the same guidelines as for the mainland U.S."

no, both are in the United States, assuming you are in reference to the US versus British Virgin Islands, and assuming you are a US citizen

If you are a US citizen, NO PASSPORT needed for PR or USVI If you fly or cruise. They are territories of the USA.

If you're illegal and/or undocumented you do. If you're a U.S. citizen, you dont need anything. I think now, after the Sept.11, 2001 incident, they ask you for an i.d.
