Why should I visit Catemaco in Veracruz, Mexico? http://www.tuxtlas.com/catemaco/index.ht... There are many different things to do and places to visit. In Catemaco itself, you can take a nice boat ride on the lake and visit the famous Monkey and Bird islands, also I highly recommend going to get a very very relaxing mud massage and using the Temazcal sauna (I'm sorry but I don't remember the name of the place but you can ask around). Around Catemaco, you have to go to Nanciyaga, very nice place where they take you on a tour of the jungle (The Medicine Man movie was filmed here) and also the Salto de Eyipantla waterfall, there's a ton of people but it's quite an amazing thing to see. And if there's time definitely go to Monte Pio, a very small beach on the Gulf coast. Have fun!! |
