What are the most popular places in Venice to visit???????????????????

St Marks Square & the Doges Palace are a must. Take a gondola ride through the canals, shopping on the bridges, great shops!

Main attractions in Venice are probably the Piazza San Marco, the Doge's Palace and the Rialto bridge. If you don't mind churches, The Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute is also beautiful, and I loved resting on the benches in the Ghetto Nuovo, which is -despite its name- the oldest jewish ghetto in Europe. Venice is most beautiful if you take your time to explore the hidden corners and small piazzas.

Outside the actual city, you might find it interesting to visit Murano (the "millefiori" glass manufacturing island), Burano (the little colourful island famous for its lacework), Lido (the luxurious "beach" island, enjoy walking through the pompous and extraordinary looking hotels).

San Marco, Doges palace, the San Marco campanile, Murano island, Ponte Rialto, the Grand canal, the fish market, take a ride on a gondola, take a ride on the Vaporito #1 around the canal.

All of those plus Cipriani for a meal & Murano for glass artists.

Popular:
Saint Marc's square
Dodges Palace
Saint Marc's Basilica
The bell tower in Saint Marc's square
The museums in the square
The Jewish Ghetto
