Do Barodian are happy with the developement of city ?

I think it was much better before 10 years

All city dwellers are generally unhappy with the way the city develops or deteriorates; Briefly, for some time some measures look good; e.g. in Delhi the addition of over 50 flyovers and the Supreme Court judgement on pollution and taking the diesel buses and taxis off the road seem to look better; but soon things take ugly turn and the city continues to decay.

Baroda, to my mind was much better 20 years ago and not 10 years ago; 10 years ago, the congestion and traffic jams in major roads was still a major reality. Do not forget the flooding and the city in deep waters for several days!

Seems city planners in most cities including Baroda have to take soem harsh steps, systematically develop the suburbs, work a lot more to address the urban poor in construction sites and in slums, put more money into widening of roads and building flyovers, make better use of energy saving devices when it comes to lighting and above all bring in a better civic sense in people through "must undergo" civil education lessons.

Can our politicians and people rise up to these challenges?
