I have just got a job in dubai and have to join by march my salary i 4500k i am a lady can i sponsor my kid? |
i wud alsolike to know whether i can live decently in 4500k with my 4 yr old kid ie including school and accomodation and food my salary is in dhirams. will i be able to manage with school n accomodation? Wednesday, February 6, 2008 yea sure , you can easily. but 4500K in which currency? Things as price-hike etc are unbriddled. Still you can survive, depends how where you live. Most imp thing pl ck out before landing here which location you will be staying as house rents are going through the roof. Schooling is good, weather will start getting hot after March. It's unsually very cold these days here. Good luck. It is very difficult with that salary. In Dubai now accommodation is very expensive, you may have to stay in sharing accommodation then it is possible to survive sending the kid to school. Main expenses are accommodation and school though food doesn't cost much. Check company should provide transportation to and fro to work place. and Medical is very expensive. u dont mention yr nationality, if u want british education then u will struggle, accomodation is expensive, schooling is too and they have long holidays and short hours, who will look after yr child whilst ur at work? a good maid will cost u dh 1000 per month. if u plan on living in dubai i guess u will have to have shared accommodation with someone as that salary wont be enough and im not sure how u will get on sponsoring yr child. i lived there from 1988-2000 and when i got divorced it was very difficult for me to sponsor them even tho i then married an emirati. unless things have changed its very difficult for a woman to sponsor the child they will say "where is the father" or "father should sponsor them" u need to ask the company employing u what the situation is as they are the ones who will have to apply for a visa for u. good luck and email me if i can be any more help |
