What is the cheapest AREA to live in the UAE. Plz only polite answers that will actually HELP!?

With villas and apartments in central locales of Dubai and Abu Dhabi out of reach of many, residents are increasingly opting to live in areas such as Sharjah, Ajman and even Ras Al Khaimah. As a result of this the rents raised up in the mentioned Emirates, too.

Not knowing what you call cheap, the cheapest places are the ones without an ac. Like in Dubai (Qusais), where you can get a studio for around Dhs 40.000.

The main problem is, that the UAE in general is short on accomodation. And - whenever you move to a "cheap" area, this will mostly be far away from your working place and will, beside being very time consuming, cost you arm and leg on transportation costs.

Best thing to do: negotiate a work contract provinding housing and transportation.

Take care.

Ajman and Sharjah are cheaper than Dubai..Ras Al Khaima was the cheapest but, not any more due to the increase in the no. of ppl want to live there.
i heard that Umm al-Quwain is now the cheapest ..its a small emirate but, u can find an apartment there with a decent rent.
good luck

there are no cheapest area in the UAE .. the cheapest are labor accommodation areas .. and totally not recommended !!

and if you found ones with low rates, for sure these are off-city areas .. slightly far from the city action ..
