Is there any new or special rule for getting a "UAE work permit" and a "UAE VISA" for Iranians?

I am working in the UK in a company and would like to go to work in our Dubai branch for a couple of months.I was told that UAE will not issue me a VISA because I am Iranian. Is this true? Please help!

There is no official Law or rule on issuing work permits for Iranians. It's just that Dubai reacts to US pressure on Iran.

Some of the 350,000 Iranians in Dubai are also starting to face restrictions. Anecdotal reports suggest some have been unable to renew residence visas. Nasser Hashempour, vice-president of the Iranian Business Council of Dubai, says it is becoming almost impossible for new Iranian businesses to secure permits.

Even our little Iranian shop had to give up because they did not get their visas renewed.

But - try it anyway!
