I just wonder why 9O% of the questions here DON'T deal with TRAVEL or TOURISM ? Isn't that a bit funny, guys?

Excuse me for this question, but seriously I noticed that now this has gotten even "worse" .
Of course we are interested in talking about all kinds of topics, but, if you allow me to give my humble opinion of non-turkish person, I really think that there are a high percentage of non-tourism and non-travel questions here.

This page usually has around 30 or 40 questions to answer, but if you only count the really TOURISM/TRAVEL/HOLIDAYS questions then there are probably less than 5 questions .

I saw this problem also in Greece and Lebanon sections, but the Turkey section has broken all the world records !!!

Turkey is a great country and its people are great!
inheriting the lustrous memory of the great Ottoman Empire
so it's just normal that evety psycho of the world...
.. every loser suffering a serious inferiority complex
get to hate Turkey and the Turkish people..
no matter they're armenian trolls or tiny flakey bandits of other sorts.. it's all the same. Racism sux, but they don't see it

WHY do they hate Turkey?
why do they spit their hatred in every word they pronounce?
BECAUSE they are bigtime and forever LOSERS, that's why!

this is why those lunatic fools turn this place into a circus where they expose every sort of perversion.

..and I strongly recommend you to renounce to keep those lunatic & racist people as "contacts" in your list
The Evil brings up no good to human kind but only darkness

alana davarro Misviv mr.zeemer michael zartozurto and other losers cannot make you any good.

Open your eyes and join the GOOD SIDE.. Our side!
That's the only way you can keep up your self integrity & self-respect.
SOIS raisonable, sois un homme de fois!
condamnes les trolls armeniens et grecs

Certain people pick a country as their "cover", then use it to write tirades, pollitical rants, , and bigoted, baiting "questions". I figure they are desperate for attention. After they get reported enough times and get booted off, they pick a new user name and new country to abuse and they are back. These are the people I find most annoying...and hard to ignore...but I try to ignore them.

I've just counted them, and in fact there are, right now, only 8 questions related to holidays and turkish tourism.
I've seen also 4 question related to translation.
A few ones about turkish movies/songs/books.

The other ones are politics, friendly chatting and trollish attacks.

You are right : That's really weird.

check out the Scottish football section or the UK current events, they are worse lol.

You should see the Polls and Surveys section...it's the worst section of them all! :D I would have to admit that our section is nothing compared to P&S and many other sections when it comes to stupid and unrelated questions/answers.

Some group of people find this as an alternative venue to talk about the issues that are plaguing them and they disregard the category because in their perception, this is where most of the Turks (whom they have an innate issue with) are concentrated. The funny thing is that the askers and trollhooligans here are only a few but with a lot of IDs. Bet you some if not most of them are also responsible for the ruckus in the other sections. ^_^

They in fact are hitting two birds with one stone in riling the Turkish answerers and hoping to capture passing answerers to whatever cause they drum up hoping for a bit of sympathy and awareness. Sometimes it works, most of the time it is the opposite when one stays longer in this section and see how things go here.

It's not only in Turkish,Lebonan,Greece sections. Also a lot of others if you check out. Well it's not a bad thing to talk about other things about that country if those are not insulting comments which we unfortunately see a lot in this section.

If you think it's a problem, that's your problem mate :D

It gets boring to see all the same "is Turkey safe" " what should i eat in Bodrum" questions after all.

Well, I agree with Joannah, Ahanda Korama, RedCandy and LePrechaun.

We are not chatting, even though some people sometimes may abuse the section.
In fact, the real problem of the section is the racist people who feel free to attack us anonymously...That's why there are so many trolls invasions here !!

Because yahoo doesn't care to open a Turkey section, Turkish people and people who are interested in Turkey express themselves like this.
There is no problem with that!

Tell me about it.

But if ranters are here, SOMEBODY has to give them proper answers, don't you think?

yes just like this question

lol.... yeah because Europe is one big happy family and that is shown I guess in the answers!

(yes there is a mere hint of sarcasm before someone takes this seriously and goes off on one at me!)

No one looks at the category only issues of the country. The whole package is dumped on here

I agree with you 100%
Charlie you put it down perfectly !!

because there are much more armenian fascists asking provocking questions....

I also agree with the many views represented here on this post...there are SO many useless posts...I recently joined thinking I could add my views and knowledge of travel in Turkey...as it is a travel forum...and have found at least half the the posts are either stupid..aimed in anger or hatred towards other people...it is a sad state of affairs..IMO..

uhhh gas prices might have something 2 do with it...;)

But being that its Winter,,,,yeah,,,,kinda is strange...

You will also notice that travel questions don't fetch good response here. I guess those aren't the Qs that keep users here coming back.
