Can anyone help me find examples of Tunisian National dress?

I need to dress my scout group in Tunisian national costume for the opening ceremony of the East Sussex jamboree. I cannot find any pictures online of what we should be wearing. We only have four weeks before we go. HELP!!!

The Traditional dress in Tunisia differs depending on the region and the ceremony. People of the south tend to have more brightly colored clothing than people of the north. The type of clothes worn for weddings would also differ from the type of clothes worn for everyday life.

In Tunisia now, people dress in a very modern way. They take their fashion cues from Europe (mainly France) and dress accordingly. I do have some pictures of traditional dress for various situations in the various regions of Tunisia. If you would be interested in seeing them, I have them in one of my online photo albums: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jamie_hasse...

If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me anytime.

try google images there are hundreds of them..............tunisian national costume

You should ask Tunisianbelle because she lives in Tunisia and probably has a good idea of what they look like or even pictures.

She also has the highest best answer for Tunisia and is Top Contributor for Tunisia

Many Tunisians dress in Western-style clothing. Traditional dress, however, remains common as well, especially in the villages and among the elderly. Tunisian men often wear a type of fez (headdress) called a chehia. It is made of brown or red felt, and is either rounded or flat on top. Traditional male clothing includes a jalabiyya (a long dresslike garment) and baggy pants. Women who dress traditionally wear a sifsari. This is a long outer garment with loose folds and a head covering. It is commonly worn over Western-style clothing. Rural women wear a mellia (a large, loose head covering) draped across the head and shoulders.
