Can anyone tell me how much will I expect to pay for a camel ride in Tunisia in both currencies GBP and Dinar?

Can anyone tell me how much will I expect to pay for a camel ride in Tunisia in both currencies GBP and Dinar?

It depends on where and for how long you ride the camel.

If you are riding the camel along the beach, you will be allowed to ride for five minutes for 1 TDN.

If you go down to the Sahara and go for an expedition on a camel ride, you will be charged about 5 TDN for an hour.

Here is some conversion for you:
1TDN = 拢0.38, 拢1=2.604TDN
http://finance.yahoo.com/currency
(Currency rates as of 13:30 GMT on 27 June 2007)

The way the money system works is this:

1 Tunisian Dinar (TDN) = 1000 millimes.
Paper money is in denominations of 30, 20, 10 and 5.
Coins are in denominations of 5 &1 TDN, and 500, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 millimes

If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me anytime.

They charge 1,000 Dinar for a camel ride and best of all they wont let you off the camel unless you pay them upfront but the catch is they charge you with 1,000 Dinar only for 1 km. Now that's expensive.

does it matter if you really want to ride one?
