Anyone know what its like at the el meldhi hotel in mahdia?

There is no such hotel as "El Meldhi". There is however, a hotel named El Mehdi, and I believe that is the one you are inquiring about.

The hotel is situated on the beach, about 2km from Mahdia town center, and 50km from Monastir international airport. The hotel has money exchange services, accepts Visa and Mastercard, has car rental services, laundry services, multi-language personnel, safety deposit boxes, photo services, touristic Information, and tour Operator desks for excursions...

There are 300 hotel rooms with twin beds, private bathroom, TV and balcony or terrace. Interconnecting rooms are available on request. The hotel also has a Miniclub for children from 4 to 12 years of age. For adults there are:

There are also four restaurants offering a large variety of Tunisian and International cuisines:
