Traveling to Djerba Tunisia and would like to IM my bf in the U.S.?

from my cell phone using Yahoo Messenger. I have worldwide access on my phone. Is there a time delay in receiving IM's? Is cell use easily obtained there? Has anyone done this? Is it workable?

Cell phones are widely used here, so you don't have to worry about coverage. You will be charged a roaming fee from your cell phone provider to use the phone service here in Tunisia though. The price of that will vary depending on who your provider is.

I have never sent a message from a cell phone to Yahoo Messenger, and I know that Yahoo does not have it set up so that Yahoo can send messages to cell phones here in Tunisia.

I would advise that you go to a publinet (public internet) and use the internet there to send a message. It costs a minimum of .300TDN, and 1.500TDN for an hour. This will allow you to not only send a message to your boyfriend, but surf the web for a while as well, and will most likely save you money.

If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.
