Going to Tunisia on sunday,?

Hi going to tunisia on sunday (yipppeee!!!!!!) i have read alot of reviews of people that have been on a sahara desert trip, quite interested, is it worth doing and how much is it?

P.S whats the weather like at the moment?? cheers

Hiya Loo lol! Friends of mine arrived in Tunisia on Sunday night. They phoned and said it was absolutely roasting (yipee)..they phoned again yesterday from the Sahara trip and said it was well worth the 100 pound each (our money)..Weather is fantastic, they both got burnt lol. You leave at 6am and return the following night and 9pm from the trip. They stay at Port El Kantoui which isn't far from Sousse so get the Sun cream ready! (4 more sleeps lol)

Cheers, thanks for the info, def worth looking into hope direct holidays do it a bit cheaper though, im staying in the Tej marhabar in Sousse, just two days left at work!!!! Report It

you'll probably find it can be booked elsewhere cheaper.im certainly doing it! 2 workys and 3 sleepys left lol Report It

Loo iv just had a phone call from my friends, its been raining buckets today!!!! Might have to swap bikini's for waterproofs lol Report It

quite expensive very hot and sweaty too! Ps watch out for the men over there they really don't know personal boundries

im going in a week and half can't wait.
been told its warm in the day but chilly at night.

Dont know much about the trip, but if you go into town to shop make sure u cover up, the locals wont be impressed if your flashing alot of flesh.

You will enjoy your trip. Weather these days is rather nice, not too cold and not hot yet. Desert is beautiful, especially at night. And there are a lot of nice site seeing to be done in many cities in Tunisia. With a little luck you can enjoy swimming there (if weather permits).

The weather is nice here today, but a few days ago it rained. The weather is changing now and very unpredictable. One day sunny (not hot though - you still need a coat or light jacket depending on the temperature and wind), and one day rainy or foggy. You can check this site as it gets closer to your arrival day for up to date info:

(I gave you the link to the whole of Tunisia because I don't know what city you will be staying in.

To be fully prepared for the changing weather in March, I suggest bringing some long sleeved (not too hot) & short sleeved shirts, some pants, shorts, a bathing suit (at the minimum you can swim in the hotel pool if the Sea is still too cold for your liking), a sweater or a light jacket, and an umbrella.

The nights are chilly due to the humidity which makes the cold go straight to the bone and makes it feel colder than it really is, so I suggest bringing something warm to sleep in at nights.

As for a trip to the Sahara, I definitely recommend it! It is fun and exciting and you will see things that you have never seen before. It's a whole different world out there than you are used to.

As for the price, that depends on many factors, such as who you are going with (many tour operators are set up in hotels for this) or if you go alone. It will also depend on what you do. Whatever you do though, I know you'll have fun!

If I can be of more assistance, feel free to contact me!
