Passport validity for tunisia? |
i am going to tunisia ion march 11th, (2007) for a week, but have just noticed it runs out august 2007 will this be ok? In most cases you'll be okay, but to make sure, double check your requirements. For that it will depend on which country you are coming from and whether you need a visa or not. Let me explain: No, you should have 6 months reserve left. You will be fine you need 3 months on your passport for European countries 6 months for long haul especially America oh it would probably be fine, depends if you want to chance it. I've travelled on a passport with a lot less than six months left on it, I did it a few times and one of the places was Tunisia! I didn't realise tho at the time... I had a friend who went to Thailand on a passport that was just out of date, and he was fine too. That said you've got plenty of time to renew your passport. It'll be worth it to get it out of the way, then you don't have to bother for ten years! The passport office does (or did a year ago) a 'check & send' service through the post office that takes 2 weeks total. It's not guaranteed but there shouldn't be any problem, as long as you've got your old passport and there are no complications (like you haven't changed your name or what have) then you'll definitely get a new passport in good time for your trip to Tunisia. Also the Government is introducing ID cards and when that goes through the way they're going to do it is make you register (AND PAY FOR) an ID card at the same time as renewing your passport. It'll cost about 拢80, so if you don't want to fork out the cash get your passport renewed now!!! I have no idea. You should speak to the Tunisian embassy for a definitive answer. Searching the Foreign Office website http://www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front?page... the phone number for the Tourism Office in the Tunisian embassy in London is 020 7224 5561. Good morning Loo, good morning every body, I went to Tunisia for a week long holiday. I did have my passport stamp but didn't have to pay a fee so I think if you are a UK national you should be OK! However, Tunisia is NOT in Europe so really you need to have 6 months on your passport. I'd go since the wors tthat could happen is that you are denied entry and can't have your holiday. If you don't try then you definately wont have a holiday!!! Hi |
