How many dinar should it cost to get a taxi from Monastir airport to Skanes?

I am getting a taxi next week from Monastir airport to a hotel in Skanes. If you have been to Tunisia, you will know that you have to haggle with everything, including taxi fares. Does anyone know roughly how many dinar it should be?

It will cost you about 4 dinars. It should definately NOT cost you more than 5TND unless you want to take a touristic taxi (white taxis), in which case the price will be almost double.

I live in Monastir and I've always found the taxi fare to be reasonable. Two dinars will get you to most places you want to go within the city, but since the airport is outside the main city, you'll spend a little more.

As for haggling taxi fare, I have never done it, nor have I ever seen anyone else do it. So good luck to you on that point.

You'll be the only one in the taxi. Taxis that take more than one passenger are clearly marked and do not stop at the airport generally. So you don't have to worry about that. The charge for luggage I have no clue about, but I wouldn't worry about it. As I said, 5 dinars should be more than sufficient.

If you need anything else, please feel free to contact me.

I'll add that you might not be the only one in the taxi. I believe that taxis are shared in most rural Tunisian cities (I call rural any other city else but Tunis). Am I right Mrs Hassan?
Also, you might be charged an extra Dinar for every piece of luggage you got.
In all cases, 5 Dinars as a total is satisfactory (to the taxi driver) :p
