Horse riding in tunisia?

Hi,
does anyone know what the horse stables are like at the royal azur hotel?(hammamet) also we have been garunteed a tunisian room at the royal azur, has anyone stayed in this type of room, it does look better than the standard? any other veiws on royal azur or hammamet would be great.

Horse stables are pretty basic. They consist of a place for the horses to rest, eat, and drink. They do keep them tidy, and do take care of the horses. Mainly the horses are used for small excursions along the beaches. Sometimes (and for a greater fee) they will allow you to take them off the beach and ride them in the open. Check with them once you get there to see their personal policy.

Normally a Tunisian room should be the equivilent to a standard room. This is something that you should have varified upon confirmation to make sure that you get what you want. But if you should have any problems with your room once you get there, the front desk staff are more than willing to accomodate any changes that you would like to make.

Hammamet is located in the South-east of the Northern peninsula of Cap Bon, and is under the Government of Nabeul, on the Northern edge of the Gulf of Hammamet. Due to its beaches it is a popular destination for swimming and water sports and it was the first tourist destination in Tunisia. The reported number of inhabitants varies from 20,000 to 70,000 and the population quadruples due to tourists in the summer. It is particularly known for jasmine, and this is how the tourist resort of Yasmine Hammamet (the touristicy part of Hammamet) got its name. All over Hammamet, souvenirs made of jasmine can be found, more so than in other cities.

not sure sounds lovely though

too hot for horses
