Has anyone been to Tunis by cruise ship? Should we do a beach excursion or stick with a Tunis city tour?

Any help on port / Tunis logistics would help. The name of the advertised beach excursion would take us to Gammarth--is this place any good?

I live in Tunisia - Monastir to be exact. I have never been by cruise boat. I used to live in Tunis and would frequent Garmarth regularly when I did. I can tell you, that if you have the opportunity to see the country, take it. Tunisia is FULL of beauty, history and culture!

Garmmarth is a beachside suburb of La Marsa, which is just outside the capitol of Tunis. It is very calm and peaceful, and very relaxing.

If I can be of more assistance, or if you have any other questions, feel free to contact me. Have a good trip!

Beaches you can see all over the world, go and take Tunis city tour, it will be much more unique.
