Tunisia? anythig to do or avoid?

It depends on where you want to go. Each region has it's own specific charm about it.

There are so many other beautiful places in Tunisia! If you state exactly where you are going I could give you more info - I've been to a ton of places in the country.

Several people have told me that Tunisia is great... if u go make sure to spend some time in Djerba

Avoid Bizerte- it's pretty dull and poor. There's a Roman settlement with mosaics near Tunis which is good though...

Don't worry about the other answers, I had a great time in Tunisia. If you're staying up in the North try and get on a 2 or 3 day trip around the country. It's really different in different areas. The trip we went on included a horse and carriage ride around a desert oasis, a camel ride through the Sahara as the sun set, a train journey through the mountains and lots of other stops along the way. It is also a good place to Scuba dive or take a boat trip.

The people are quite pushy but not in a nasty way. If you're firm with them they're fine with it. Took me a couple of days to get used to that.

The beaches are lovely and the sea clear and warm. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

(I also was asked if I wanted to sell my girlfriend for camels - It's a joke don't be uptight about it. I said the bloke could have her for half a camel. The people are nice if you treat them right and don't act like a spoilt British tourist trying to conquer another country)

the people? thats a bit harsh actually its mainly just people in the towns that will literally drag you into their shops. Someone offered to buy my mum for some camels when i went.

. . .wait in the airport for the next flight out, the place is a sh*thole . . .

Avoid Tunisia at all costs. Once you get outside the hotels, there's nothing there.
