The royal azur in tunisia?

we have now booked the royal azur in hammemet, as we wanted to be in same area as the padi dive centre, does anyone no what the royal azur is like?? is the food and drink expensive in hamamet? or in tunisia in general, for example how much would a bottle of house champagnr or cava cost etc etc ?? any advice on hotel or the area would be great.

The Royal Azur is like most any hotel that you will find in the Hammamet/Nabuel region. It is nice, has lovely beaches, terrific ammenities, and is close to the main part of Hammamet. Here is their info:

Royal Azur Thalasso Golf
Rte Tourist, BP 13
8050 Hammamet, NABEUL
Tunisia

Food and drink are going to be expensive in the hotel, as that is where they gain a good portion of their revenue. You would do better to go out into the city for yourself and eat at a local resteraunt. You will get bigger portions at better prices.

Alcoholic beverages are not widely sold in public. Only the upper scale, more expensive resteraunts sell it, as well as your hotel. And it isn't cheap. A glass of champagne will run anywhere from 5-7 Dinars. I don't know about a full bottle.

Hammamet itself is a very beautiful and historic, and due to its beaches, it is a popular destination for swimming and water sports. It is particularly known for jasmine, and this is how the tourist resort of Yasmine Hammamet got its name. All over Hammamet, souvenirs made of jasmine can be found. Reportedly, Tunisian president, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, spends his vacations in Hammamet.

Yasmine Hammamet is where all the touristic action is to be found though. Here is a link for you to check out: http://www.yasmine.com.tn/anglais/Welcom...
