I am flying to tijuana to the philippines via los angeles. Do i need to get a US visa for this trip?

Sorry, but the USA suspended the "transit without a visa" program after 9/11. If you need a visa to enter the USA you also need one to transit the USA.

Go to www.state.gov and click on Travel & Business for more information.

If you have not yet purchased your ticket, check if you can transit Canada instead.

You will need a US passport when you come back into the US if by plane or by ship.

I would not trust any answer you get on this YA. Call the Embassy and ask them to get the correct information. Do you want to take an answer here and maybe mess up your trip. Go to the authorities on questions like this one.

I'm from the Philippines.. I'm a Filipino. Philippines to USA you will need Visa... but USA to Philippines you only need passport. But you can't stay long in Philippines. I don't know about Mexico to Philippines. But i'm sure it doesn't need Visa...
