You don't need a prescription to buy most medicines in Mexico, such as antibiotics, so if you know the active substance you need (brand names are different), you may just go to a local pharmacy.
However, narcotics (controlled substances) do need a prescription from a doctor. Just find one in the yellow pages and go to an appointment, some will see you the same day and you shouldn't pay more than $50 for the consult (if you see a specialist).
