Cheap , vegetrain lodge in Trivandrum town?

Dear friends,
I am visiting Trivandrum in March with my family-3 ladies+ self,
please sugest me a decent ,cheap, accomodation for 3 nights, my budget is not more than Rs.500/- per night.

I suggest you may want to look at the following site that lists hotels and the rates; the ones near Railway station and bus stand are central and you will get a number of vegetarian restaurants nearby;

In Trivandrum, if you are looking for vegetarian food, one of the best location is incidentally the Railway catering room as few restaurants actually serve white rice and most serve the cooked parboiled rice.

Also, the hotels in this area are reasonably close to other locations including the Padmanabha temple and the buses and autorickshaws to Kovalam beach - 2 kms and 15 kms respectively.

I have stayed in Thampanoor tourist home, Udupi sreenivas tourist home (in Thampanoor/Rly station area), and also in Shaji Tourist home in Statue area and Hotel Preetha; all of them have generally been okay. You can also try the Padmanabha Swami Temple tourist lodge (crowded) in the East fort area.
