How do you call/text someone in Thailand from Australia?

My mum asked me to call her but it's not connecting properly. I sent her a text but I'm not sure if it worked...help!

Well, in your mobile, seach for the function that confirm the text or sms has been sent and received. This way, you'll know whether the sms you sent is well receive. Make sure you dial first the outside line number (or overseas number) then 66 for Thailand and the phone number.; the Thai mobile usually goes by 1; i.e. 661, or 9, 8, 6, or any other number preceeding the phone number without zero.

Text should work without problem to Thailand, I am using it all the time between Malaysia and Thailand.
You can also try to use Skype.com to call either her mobile phone or land line ... that works a treat and is cheap too.

From oz dial 001166 take off the 0 from the begining of the thai number and enter the rest of the numbers

if you mom is using a thai cell phone be sure to dial 668 then the number, or 662 then the number if she is using a land line.
