Is Thailand worth going to between June - October?

I've heard it's summer over there during this time but has heavy rainfall and monsoons most of the time. Would it still be a good holiday and worth visiting during these months?

ko thats a preety long period for thailand if its in june it will be xtremely hot (33 centigrades with 90% humidity and 160 mm of average rainfall), if you go in october the heat wont be as bad (centigrades 27 with 93% humidity but 206 mm of average rainfall!!!) but the rain is to much when i went it was 15 of october and it was preety good, i beleive in my year there wasnt as muh rain but the temp was very nice...

WHAAAAAAAAATTTT? I have been all over Thailand during that entire time span. I don't live there but 10 times is enough including Jan to September. (Late). I was on several islands in the gulf region in September and late August as well as other times. Incredible showers followed by beautiful sun. 1-2 hours a couple of days, then no rain for a few days. On-off. But in June and July we would go a week without. DO NO DO NOT DO NOT turn down a chance to go. I was in the north as well during this time. If you want I can send you a personal link to pics taken in this time frame. GO GO GO!!
Have fun. I was in the region for 6 months a few years back and it rained 1 out of 5 days at times and then everyday for an hr at times. Do this. There is much to see and do and if you are working hard you deserve a break. South East Asia is beautiful and fun. All places have pittfalls but prepare and GO!

You can go to Thailand anytime of the year. No 4 seasons in Thailand. So go ahead.

I have been there in April 3 times, July twice, September once. I was only staying in Bangkok mostly, though I did visit Pattaya a couple times. This is between 2005 and 2007. 6 visits maybe 4 times, not 4 days did it ever rain where I was. When it did rain it was for an hour or two. I just worked around it. Instead of going straight to where I was planning on going. I stopped had a cup of coffee and a smoke or two and watched the other people scampering around in the rain.

If you could only visit Thailand during June to October, why not. You work the rain sometimes into your schedule.

If you are at Pattaya or Phuket. You cannot lay out all day in the sun. Can you? Visit a nearby bar or cantina, hang out, take a walk along the beach, go shopping, go to a spa, have a massage, maybe see a movie as strange as it sounds.

If you are in Bangkok, same thing, you cannot lay out near the pool all day. Most shopping is indoors. The subway stations nor the skytrain stations are far from many shopping malls. Taxis can take you door to door. Many sights are indoors. The few outdoors you plan around.

If you going to Chiang Mai, well hikers are usually well prepared rain gear, etc. Camping is another thing. hahahaha Can't say much, have not been up there yet. Nice and cool in the north.

What I am trying to get at is that, Thailand is pretty laid back. Relax and enjoy and go with the flow. I can ONLY spend 7 or 8 days at a time in Thailand because of my work schedule. I wish I could spend more time. Make the most by not over scheduling yourself and enjoy what is in front of you. Instead of being upset of what you think you are missing if it rains.

I have never regretted visiting during April or July or September because of the weather. I would go again in a minute.
Good luck and have fun and relax

Hi i have been 7 times between april and sept ,and the weather has never bothered us . If it does rain in day time it,s never for very long , pack a small brolly and you will be fine

you will have a great holiday

It will be nice to visit Thailand at any time. There can be much that you can do, in whatever weather. Go and enjoy yourself.

yes but try to stick to June/July/August...and no it's NOT summer, summer is Mar-May.

aka hot season;
June through Oct is rainy season
I love the weather here, albeit the rain...
