Nightlife in Bangkok!?

I would like to find out what are the actual ages for you to club there. I heard the places are all 21? Tried to enter RCA when I was 19, but got bounced out. This year I'm 20 and I'm going with a group of friends who are only 18. I've heard many say that they actually close an eye if you're a foreigner. Is this always the case? The only places I could enter was more in the ratchada area, this place called hollywood. Would a small bribe of maybe 1000bht help? Don't really know if anyone has ever tried something like that before though. And maybe someone could introduce some classy bars that are not so strict on the checking of ages? THANKS ALOT PEOPLE!!

Most of the clubs that enforce the age will not take the bribes unless you have been there a few times and they know who you are. Bed and Supper club ALWAYS ID so there is NO WAY to get in there. The other poster is wrong. Q BAR is the same way.

I have heard and I cannot confirm nor deny that the easiest way, is to go to Khao San Road and get yourself a ready made ID that states you are 21 (100 to 150 baht and ready in about 5 minutes).

Secondly, if someone that is 21 buys a whole bottle, like JW Red or JW Black and has cash to flash around, the doorman will usually let the group in. This would work in Ratchada but not Ekkamai or anything upscale.

Best bets are in Ratchadapisek as mentioned Hollywood, Dance Fever and the best one there is Bali/Bali Seafood. Bali is also the favorite and most crowded Saturday night party spot.

Zeeds in Ratchada will card you for sure, so have to go the ID route there.

CM II will card hard, Santika will card you and all of the upscale popular clubs along Ekkamai will card you.

RCA is home to the younger crowd but due to problems with police raids, underage is getting carded more and more.

With 99.9% of the bouncers not reading English or understanding ID's from other countries, I have heard (but cannot confirm nor deny) it is a sure fire way to get inside.

It's 21. There tend to be those places that located near the university where they allow people over 18 to go in. I've heard that Motown and Visa at Eakamai also do.

yes the bribe will definetly help and is a very common practice... try "bed supper club" international music I love that place, try "Q bar" electronic music and you wont have problems first try to enter free and if it doesnt work pay the regular cover plus a tip to the bouncer...
