Which is cheaper & fun Thailand or Fiji. Want to tie the not also stay in over the water bungalows..help?

Thailand is cheaper and more fun, there are plenty of beach bungalows. You have your pick of the islands. Koh Samui is best for tourists and has honeymoon bungalows.
Koh Tao is quieter and great for Scuba fans.

I'm not completely sure about Thailand, but I'm almost positive that there are no over water bungalows (OWB) in Thailand. It is the cheapest place to stay though, comparing the two.
As for Fiji, there is only one resort that has the OWB and it is really expensive. It is called Liku Liku. Have a look at this website for more information on Fiji and Thailand. www.tripadvisor.com
Also, though much, much more expensive, Tahiti has heaps of OWB and is only about 3 hours from Fiji.

I have not seen many over water bungalows in southern thailand but in kanchanaburi there is many over the river bungalows. But phi phi islands in my opinion are the best islands in the world and cheapest (bungalows on phi phi don start at $6 a night). Phi Phi is a major tourist destination though, you can find bungalows for as cheap as $2 a night in less popular places in Thailand.
