How long does it take to issue a tourist visa for thailand if applying in person at the thai embassy in london

I am a bit worried i am travelling thailand and i want to a tourist visa for thai land the problen i have though is i also need a vietnamese one . So i went to london with the plan of going to the vietnamese embassy getting that on the 1 hour express service which would allow me to get my thai one on the same day. but after handing my passport over i was told it would take 9 days as i was aplying for a month and not just two weeks. as i am raveling on the 29th this is only going to leave me with 9 days to get my thai one will this be long enough as i do not want to hand my passport over and then find out i will not be getting it back till the 30 or somthing like that. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP IM STARTING TO PANIK A LITTLE BIT.

Are you aware that you don't need a visa to enter Thailand for 30 days or less if you are a UK passport holder? But if you're applying for a 60 day tourist visa or don't have a UK passport then why don't you call or e-mail the embassy, I would think they would be the best people to contact to answer your questions. Here's their contact info:

You are coming from England. On the plane you will fill in a card that gives you 30 days tourist in Thailand. You will have visa for 30 days in Vietnam so you have no worries if the Vietnam visa starts from the day you enter Vietnam.Enter Thailand for one day or 30 does not matter, then go to Vietnam for a month, then you would have to go back to BKK for flight home.Or start by going to BKK getting a flight to Vietnam straight away for your 30days then coming back you will get a form to fill in on the plane for 30 days for entry to Thailand.Thailand is easy,if after 30 days you want to stay longer you only have a get the bus to Cambodia and cross the border get passport stamped and you get another 30 days, that takes a day with a private company cost 2000baht when breakfast and lunch thrown in,don't worry have a good trip

OK, calm down visa on arival is no problem, leave the vietnam visa till you get to Bangkok. It is very near the British and American embassies it take about 4 days to get. Now I have heard that you don't need a visa now for vietnam but that was a diamond buyer on the plane I would not trust ths one but Thaland is no problem.

Stay in www.accorhotel.com Grand surkimvit or at least say that on the visa form.
