I have no idea which item is high-priced in India. But, you can find laptop or mobile phone you mentioned at MaBoonKrong (or MBK) center (floor 4 and 5).

Before buying DVDs, you need to ask the sellers about DVDs regions -- they can't play across regions unless you can decode your DVD player (region 3 in Thailand and 5 in India.

Hey. I go to Thailand very frequently and trust me, laptops and mobile phones are even more expensive then where you live now. If you want to get good priced goods i would reccomend DVD's and games. The only thing about thailand is that you have to know where to get the goods you want. If you go to public places you have to be careful on what you buy. Some goods might just be knockoffs. And you have to look at it closely to see if it is good quality.
