I want to transfer money to an a/c @ Siam Commercial Bank from Aust. What is the cheapest/best way? Thks?

Internationa transfer is best you will have toknow the swift code of the bank.

Go to your own bank and transfer telegraphically (T/T) using SWIFT.

African Farmer is correct. It will incur a cost which will vary from bank to bank. But perhaps about AU$15-20. At least it's (theoretically) instantaneous. You may need full name and address of both the destination bank and the account holder (besides the account number of course)

Siam Commercial Bank doesn't have any branch in Australia,but should you pass through either Singapore or Hong Kong, they DO have branches in each city, where you could pay cash into the appropriate account (even then there would probably be some handling charge).

SWIFT is the quickest. A cheaper option is to get a bank draft and post it to the beneficiary account

Cheap ways are by PayPal and by Moneybookers.

Expensive but much more convenient is Western Union.
