Im thinking of moving to phuket, thailand. can any one give me a good site for renting a condo?

friend......
Do this. Find a cheap guesthouse first. Then look around. You will find out that there is 2 prices. One for foreigners, and then the local thai price. But its very simple to get the Thai price. Find some friends, not foreign friends, but Thais. Speak with them, give some beers and so - and after some days, they will help you find a place to the right price. I rent a house, 120m2, and I pay 3600 baht/month. My nabo, rent the same type of house, but he pay 8000 baht. So take it easy. You will see. They can find appartments with furniture from 1800 baht/month. Remember you will maybe have to stay for some years, and then its better to have more money in your pockets.
Remember. TAKE YOUR TIME - NO RUSH

Well now mi lordship dude, if ya have buckets of dosh then i'm sure you'll get ya 'condo's' from PHUCKET alright, just be careful who ya dealing with that's all......?

Surely that's an 'apartment'?

'Condo' is a slang abbreviation of 'condominium' a name misapplied by Americans to buildings or developments in which the dwelling are owner-occupied rather than rented.

'Condominum' actually means joint sovereignty over a state.

I suggest you need the classified section from Phuketgazette which has lots of ads, make sure you have your visa status arranged !

Agree with John T - get friendly with the locals and they will look after you and save you over half asking price for -Westerners and Aussies pay double - avoid English Adverts in newspapers and on net stay in Cheap hotel and take 2 weeks looking in person with your guide - Job done !

For up-to-date info re the Phuket property market, check out local newspapers online, e.g.,
