What is Koh Phi Phi like nowadays?

I was on phi phi a few years back and it was paradise.

I heard it was hit by the tsunami.

Has the Island recovered?

Did many people die there?

Was the coral damaged?

Place has recovered well. Many foreigners had seized the opportunity to open businesses there after the tsunami. It probably is a bit more expensive than previously. There were some deaths, but no numbers attributed to locations, just total.

Yes, it was hit and over 800 bodies were recovered while around 1,200 people are missing.

Work was done to restore the coral reefs. Business has now fully recovered, so if you go back, you'll be part of a big crowd.
