Bangkok Air...?

When booking a flight through Bangkok airlines, what is the difference between an 'M' fare and a 'Y' fare?

Y Fare:
Ticket is valid for travel within 1 year validity.
Ticket is valid for Economy-class.
Valid for bookings made on www.bangkokair.com only.
Rerouting is not allowed.
Unused tickets and partially used tickets can be refunded subject to refund administrative fee at USD 55 or equivalent per passenger.
Fare combinations are allowed, most restricted conditions and lowest ticket validity will be applied.
This fare is for one way and to be doubled in case of round trip.

M Fare:
Ticket is valid for travel within 6 months validity.

So the only real different between the two fares is either 6 months or 1 year validity.
