Where do I obtain an international drivers license in the UK so I will be able to drive in Thailand ? Here you go: omg have you seen how they drive? Actually, you do not require an international driving permit to drive in Thailand. A valid driving license from UK will be good enough to rent a car with the necessary insurance cover. I would not recommend driving within the city limits of Bangkok. They are some of the most aggressive drivers I've ever seen, and you will also have to deal with the motorcycles and tuk-tuks cutting lanes. Plus the traffic is horrendous. Taxis are reasonable, just make sure you get a metered one. Also the Skytrain is excellent if you're traveling within the city. |
