Massages in thailand? |
how much are decent massages in bangkok?...let's say for a 2 hour thai or oil massage. what about a couple massage and spa package? i'm not looking for something that is costly. i will be staying at legacy suites. can anyone recommend any in that area? and also....how easy is it to come across one? will i have to really look hard for a decent massaging parlour? Services like that in bangkok is as easy as ordering your meals where you just look at the menu. Hotels provides brochures featuring all sorts of 'services offered' including gimmicks. Bangkok is not very expensive compared to Malaysia or Singapore. You will get your pesos' worth in Bangkok. Two years back, 100-150 baht walk-in back massage. Hotels must be a bit higher. What I would consider costly you might consider cheap. Having said that, there are spas all over the city. it seems that everyone and his granny can give a massage in thailand. Considering you are at Legacy Suites, you are practically in the midst of the massage centres and spas in Bangkok. Just out of your serviced apartment, you can see signs leading to one already. Just across you in Soi 22, there are a number of major massage centres offering traditional Thai massage and foot reflexology. Cost varies depending on the tourist season. Low season, you can get a 2-hour massage for 200baht, doubling during the high season. As for couple massage, yes, they do that in a private room for the couple. Just ask at the desk while booking your massage. Massages are extremely inexpensive in Thailand, But the most expensive ones I had were in Bangkok. I live in a village and pay 200 Baht for a two hour massage. In Bangkok I paid 400 Baht for an hour massage, Oil massage is about 100 baht higher than a Thai massage. Couples massages are available. Beware many massage shops offer sexual services! You may also have a massage in your hotel room, just inquire at the desk. ( Baht now 32.9 - To the dollar) In the Silom/Surawong area there is a massage war going on. I pay 350 baht for a 2 hour Thai massage. The one hour Thai massage is 200 baht. Oil massage 400 baht for one hour 600 for 2 hours. I paid around 拢20 for foot, hand, back & neck massage...and it was THE most agonising two hours!! The place looked gorgeous, very legit building in Bangkok, lovely staff, but they were like bodybuilders. |
