Im going travelling for 6 months in thailand, how much money do u think i need?????

How long is a piece of string? ;)

For in-country expenses I usually budget a minimum of 70,000 Baht per month. At current mid-market exchange rates that's around 2,244.54 USD or around 1,146.351 GBP.

That's based around living in Bangkok and travelling out to various islands. If you are in the provinces it's going to be cheaper.

It's possible to survive on around half the above figure if you really want too.

Some people survive on as little as 25K Baht a month. I've just been talking to one guy who spends over 600,000 Baht per month!

It all depends, and there are many variables, but 70K Baht a month is a good average.

When you go to International/Asian country for that long, you don't really need much because its cheap country, if your by yourself maybe $200 to $600 is enuf, unless you like to go shopping/hop around town. Make sure you don't show that you have a lot of money, put your money in your pocket just enuf for your expenses for the day. Don't show off, don't show your interested in buying stuff, don't trust anybody, use your instinct, keep your eyes open & try to remember where your at or were.. Be safe & enjoy your stay. May god bless you where ever you go.

For everything? Including lodge, food, transportation and else?
I think $500 a month is fine (or maybe more than enough) for you x 6 mos = $3000. However, it depends on where you plan to stay, travel and expense. In a big city like Bangkok, you will spend money more than a small city for sure.
For your safety, it's better to have a traveler check for big amount of money.
Have fun :-)

It depends where you will stay and how much shopping money you need. Food budget per day around 300 baht per person is more than enough.

i use pounds

was there fro 3 month, spent, 600, so 1,200 ( quid )
