You should be able to get by, but as you know you'll be staying in hostels and inexpensive guesthouses. You'll also be eating mostly street food and be able to party a little bit, but some of the tourist sights and activities will put a serious dent in your budget. I don't know how you plan on staying here for 6 months though, a 30 day visa exemption with two visa runs to a neighboring country (for a total of 90 days) or a 60 day tourist visa before you come won't get you close to the 6 months you plan on. You should check the Thai Embassy website in the UK to explore your options. Good luck.

Yes it will be plenty.

definitely

Hi, I think that figure may be a little tight, what about touring, like coach fares and train fares, or will you be staying in one spot.

Firstly I agree with Gerald's answer, you should first check to see if you can stay for 6 months.

When I tour Thailand my budget is $40 Australian a day which is about 16 pounds. This covers my accommodation, breakfast, dinner with a couple of beers, and my small motor bike for getting around locally.

What about visiting places of interest, or tours etc.
From the minute you arrive at Bangkok airport your hand will be in your wallet.

I would rework your budget, and add in some safety money for unexpected occurences, which can be very expensive if your not prepared.

You will have a great time though, it is a cheap place to go, if your sensible.

Read up on forums, you can learn a lot on how to save money on holiday.

I think u might struggle on 3k . I came back last week after 3 weeks and spent 2k, and i was not on holiday. Thailand can be inexpensive but i think 拢1000 /month would be sound if your careful and u can still have a few beers!
Take the bus **** the flight !!!!!

It sure will! I am soooooo jealous, I LOVE Thailand!!!
