Will the conflict in the Pattani region in Thailand be resolved soon?

Will the conflict in the Pattani region in Thailand be resolved soon?

Probably not. Pattani was a separate kingdom of Patani up to 1909 when it was annexed by Thailand. It is a muslim area and unfortunately there has been repression of the muslim language and religion by the Buddhist Thai.

So as long as the Thai people repress their right to a sovereign state no the conflict will continue.
